"Information technology and business are becoming inextricably interwoven. I don't think anybody can talk meaningfully about one without the talking about the other."

Technology As A Core Asset...

Systems Design & Integration:

BLMC has excelled at System Design and Integration across diverse industries for numerous clients.  This is due to our deep understanding of the interdependencies between business process and information systems.  These interdependencies necessitate that the end-to-end process and systems requirements are defined concurrently, driven by the core business needs, and have a high level of participation from key stakeholders across the business.  Our integrated approach minimizes the business risk, accelerates implementation, minimizes technology iterations, and increases the likelihood of project success.

As optimal business processes are being developed, the process gaps identified are used to concurrently define the technology requirements needed to support these processes.  We then evaluate the capabilities of the current technology infrastructure against the needs of the business and determine the technology gaps.  These technology gaps highlight the additional capabilities required to support the To-Be state.

A decision then needs to be made to Buy or Build technology to achieve these capabilities. If buying a package is a viable option, we assess potential solutions against the defined business requirements, ensure that it is an economically viable solution, and can be integrated into the existing systems landscape.  We then help our clients successfully implement the solution.

If no pre-built solutions are viable, we will design a solution to support the newly re-engineered processes.  Based on the requirements definition, associated use-cases, and data requirements we then create the technology solution using our unique innovation methodology.  This methodology leverages the iterative aspects of the Rational Unified Process (RUP) for software engineering and couples it with the project management discipline of the Stage-Gate Process for new product innovation.  This approach allows us to help our clients achieve a reduced time-to-market (or internal deployment), minimize innovation risk, and ensure a high-quality end product with lower development and implementation costs.
